Commuter Camp Information 2009REGISTRATION TIMES: Sunday, 1:00 - 2:30 pm DIRECTIONS BLAZER HALL FROM 65 NORTHBOUND - take the University Blvd. exit, turn right onto 16th Street. Blazer Hall is on your right between 9th and 10th Avenue South. FROM 65 SOUTHBOUND - take the 4th Ave South exit, turn right onto 13th Street South, go 4 blocks and turn left onto University Blvd (8th Ave), to 3 blocks and turn right onto 16th Street South. Blazer Hall is on your right between 9th and 10th Avenue South. Camp Begins Sunday at 3:00pm ARRIVAL/PICK UP (see above directions) MEALS The camp will provide lunch and dinner Monday through Wednesday. Only dinner will be provided on Sunday, and no meals will be served on Thursday. WHAT TO BRING Campers are to report to camp on Sunday ready to play soccer (shorts, t-shirt, soccer ball and shin guards which are required). Each camper MUST bring a pair of flat athletic shoes in case of rain, since camp will continue indoors. Campers wishing to swim should bring a bathing suit and towel. Campers may also wish to bring a change of clothes. Each camper should bring a ball to camp. If you don't own one, you may purchase a ball for $25 at camp. Please mark all belongings. RAIN Report to camp as usual. If conditions make outdoor activityimpossible, then indoor facilities will be utilized. MEDICAL CARE Certified athletic trainers are on duty at all times. Any camper who INSURANCE Parents must provide primary health insurance for their sons. The UAB Soccer Camp will carry only a supplemental accident and health policy. VISITORS Relatives and friends are welcome to visit and observe the camp activities. MESSAGES To leave messages for your son or in an emergency you may call (205) 870-0194. There are also pay phones from which campers may make outgoing calls. ENDING CEREMONY Thursday 11:30 - 12:00 noon. A short ceremony will end the week of camp. Each camper will receive a detailed written evaluation and a camp certificate. Parents and friends are invited to attend. ENROLLMENT CANCELLATION Those who cannot attend camp for medical or other reasons will be refunded their money except for a $100 handling fee, provided the camp is notified 72 hours prior to registration on Sunday.
